On Wednesday 16 February, Minister for Justice Helen McEntee briefed NGOs on the third national strategy on Domestic, Sexual and Gender Based Violence (DSGBV), as well as an overview of a review of refuge accommodation prepared by Tusla.
At the NGO briefing session, Minister McEntee outlined priority areas for refuge provision, as well as long term structural reforms to improve supports for victims and tackle domestic, sexual and gender-based violence. The new structures discussed include a new statutory agency on domestic, sexual and gender-based violence.
A public consultation has been launched and I would encourage everyone to take part by clicking on the following link: https://www.justice.ie/en/JELR/Pages/DSGBV-Public-Consultation
